Route 66: Magical Missouri & Discovering the Ozarks!

I discovered one of my favorite place to stop along Route 66 in Missouri; Gary Turner rebuilt the replica of the 1930’s filling station he built in 2005. The original Gay Partia 1930 gas station owned by Fred and Gay Mason stood in the tiny hamlet of Paris Springs, Missouri, until it burned down in 1955. Turner a Route 66 icon passed away in 2015, and as a promise to her mother, their daughter Barb and her friend George Bowick reopened the gas station to keep the memories and the history of Route 66 alive

Multiple billboards leading to the Meramec Caverns flash by along I55 and knew I was planning to stop. It is a 4.6 mile cavern system in the Ozarks and has a 400 million year old history. It was one of the primary stops along former Route 66.

What have I learned so far about RV Life? Travel slower. Drive only 2-4 hours a day. Oh and be ready for anything to go wrong, break..taking a breath and learn to deal with one issue at a time.
