Pressing Pause on the Art Club

Three months ago, I launched A Wandering Palette Art Club because I loved the idea of creating something that combined learning, collecting, and the simple act of making art.

And I still love the idea.

In fact, that's exactly why I'm pressing pause.

Sometimes an idea is good, but the timing isn't quite right.

Over the past few months, I've realized that between caregiving, creating new artwork, running my business, filming videos, and trying to keep up with everything else life throws my way, I need to take a step back and really think about how this fits into the bigger picture.

That doesn't mean the Art Club is gone.

It doesn't mean I've given up on it.

It simply means I want to give myself the space to rethink it rather than forcing it to become something before I'm ready.

One of the things I've learned as an artist is that not every idea needs to be abandoned, but not every idea needs to move forward at full speed either. Sometimes the best thing you can do is set it down for a little while, continue gathering ideas, and come back to it with a clearer vision.

For now, I'll continue creating artwork, sharing tutorials, experimenting with new ideas, and documenting the process along the way. The Art Club may return in a different form, or it may evolve into something I haven't even thought of yet.

Right now, I simply need to give myself permission to pause.

Thank you to everyone who supported the idea, offered feedback, and encouraged me along the way. Your enthusiasm meant more than you know.

For now, I'm choosing to focus on creating, learning, and figuring out what comes next.

And honestly, that feels like the right decision.
