When I was in college, I would drive around the area looking for photographs. I would often find myself in Cuyahoga County. It was a large nature preserve and had a fantastic road the weaved through trees.

Taking the long way home to Ohio from North Carolina, I visited the newest addition to our parks system, New River Gorge in West Virginia, which is the 63rd National Park.

The best part of the road trip, is the actual road trip. This is the start of my adventure through 4 states, multiple mountain passes, twists and turns, rainstorms, a national park, waterfalls and a wedding.

Nature astounds me. I experienced one of the most unique natural occurrences in my life. Watching and listening as thousands of purple martins settle in for the night.
