My Life on Repeat …

Groundhog Day.

It feels like my life has been on repeat for the last couple of years. Fairly certain almost EVERYONE understands this feeling.

Wash, Rinse, and Repeat.

There were a few highlights but nothing really separated each day, week, or month, other than the projects getting completed and the season changing - Winter to Spring, the melting of snow, the constant drone of rain falling on the RV, watching new growth and hearing more and more birds every morning.

This spring sparked some new ideas and new directions.

Unfortunately one can plan all they want and sometimes a wrench gets thrown into the mix, my original plan was to get on the road before the snow really showed up.

That changed.

Then once spring came. That Changed.

Now the plan is to leave this Fall.

I began to focus my creative energies, finished work that needed to be done, and determine which direction I will actually travel; 75% has been mapped out. (this is subject to change)*

I’ve found my happiness lies in experiencing new places and meeting people along the way.

My joy is exploring places that are unfamiliar and finding stories that are unique, chasing inspiration, and taking control of my future.

Soon, I will embark on my journey to continue my quest to explore all 50 states.

So what does my YouTube channel offer you?

  • Hopefully, inspiration to get out and explore.

  • What it’s like as a solo traveler living full-time in a trailer.

  • The challenges I face, both good and bad.

  • Finding ways to become a healthier me.

  • Humor and above all else adorable pups.

What can you expect from me in the future?

  • Video content that is curated.

  • Stories that mean something to me.

  • My thoughts on life.

  • Ideas that fuel who I am.

  • Places that inspire or amaze me,

  • and the Inspiration that pushes me forward.

Developing a Video Idea

This was one of the most challenging video projects to date. Not only did I have to conceptualize how I wanted the video to be and the story to tell. It often changed and shaped as I developed the story. I used Reels and Tik Tok to test, practice, and gain a better understanding of visual storytelling. I still have a lot to learn.

I have a ridiculous amount of footage, it was unorganized and misplaced, mislabelled, etc. I used multiple cameras to determine the best way to capture the visuals. I had and have zero ideas of what I was doing.

I just had a story in my head I’ve wanted to tell over the last year. A story we are all very familiar with. Adding “getting organized” to my next project! It happens to everyone, life sometimes becomes routine, which in some ways is not bad. Our routine is slightly broken up by invites to birthday parties, events, holidays, and so on.

Getting too comfortable in the familiar.

I do believe however that sometimes, the familiar is a story and can be beautiful.

Joy

Photographer, graphic designer, dog mom to Sawyer, Etsy shop owner, and solo traveler trying to make the most of the life I've been given. Life is too short to live in a cubicle. I get lost on backroads and share visual stories of the destinations I discover.
