Route 66: Re-Discovering Abe in Illinois
There are aspects of history we learn from our family. Stories that have been passed down through generations and letters kept through the decades. Abe Lincoln is a part of my story & my family history.
Route 66: Magical Missouri & Discovering the Ozarks!
I discovered one of my favorite places to stop along Route 66 in Missouri; Gary Turner rebuilt the replica of the 1930s filling station he built-in 2005. Not only is the collection amazing, it’s almost like time has stopped.
Route 66: My Worst Fear Living Full-time in an RV
Worst fear. Stuck. Ignition would not turn over. The automatic step didn't move. Not sure what was going on. Had lights, AUX batteries had power. Nothing worked. No click, No turnover, nothing.
Route 66: Texas Devil's Rope History & Disney Inspiration
On the East side of Texas, I decided to drive the original section of Route 66. I highly recommend stopping in Stroud, Texas for lunch at the Rock Cafe and driving yourself to a classic diner in Shamrock to walk back in time.
Route 66: High Winds, Colorful Cadillacs and Wine!
Driving in High Winds for long stretches can be difficult and tiring. Since most of the drive from AZ to Texas was flat, after a couple of days of being pushed around I was ready to relax.
Living Full-Time in an RV
It’s been a jam-packed 25 days. I’ve learned quite a bit, figuring out how I want to travel and what I need to change.
